Abstract Submission Guidelines:
Abstracts are invited for an opportunity to present their work as part of the BSOA Virtual Event Series in November 2020.
The closing date for abstract submission is midnight on Friday 4th September 2020. Any abstract received after this time will not be accepted. Each abstract should be emailed to [email protected] along with the completed declaration form (scan/photo of signed document). A confirmation email will be sent on receipt (during office hours only).
An abstract template is provided as a separate file and this must be adhered to. In preparing your submission you are strongly encouraged to look at the scoring guides for assessing abstracts and poster presentations that the judges will use when reviewing your work.
Please note that an abstract cannot be submitted to the BSOA Virtual Event Series if it has been presented in a national or international meeting already.
A declaration form must accompany each abstract and should be signed by the corresponding author.
Corresponding authors of the abstracts accepted for poster presentation at the BSOA SSM will be informed via e-mail by Friday 18th September 2020.
Successful authors will be invited to pre-record their presentation between Wednesday 14th – Friday 16th October. The shortlisted presentations will then be broadcast during the Virtual Registrar Prize Session taking place on Monday 2nd November. All successful authors must be available that day to participate in a live Q&A.
The prize fund will then be determined and distributed by the judging panel at the end of the event.
